Accuracy and uses of the PAA3 and PAA6
Posted by Rick Shao on 13 November 2015 03:03 AM

The PAA3 and PAA6 are both Type I audio analyzers. The PAA3 has accuracy margin of less than ±0.7 dB, whereas the PAA6 has an accuracy margin of ±0.5 dB (in other words, both units are extremely accurate, with the PAA6's accuracy slightly greater than that of the PAA3).

This makes both units ideal for laboratory and field use, particularly in professional audio set ups and by environmental protection organizations. The Type I rating, however, also makes it more than accurate enough for use when setting up 5.1 or 7.1 speaker systems at home. The PAA3 and PAA6 may also be used for measurement of building and enviornmental sounds, vehicles, etcetera.
